The Long Path Tool trial allows you to create a folder and a file with a long file name and it allows you to delete it. Using the tabs you can find files and folders with long names and by using the buttons at the bottom you can easily delete, rename, or copy them from one location to another. At the bottom there are nice big buttons for the following functions: Delete, Rename, Copy To. There are two tabs on the application’s interface: Copy/Delete and Search Long Paths. Do so and the application will launch – its user friendly interface will be displayed onscreen. To get started with Long Path Tool you must download an archive (a small, less than 1MB archive), extract its contents, and run the Delete_Copy_Unlock_LONG_PATH_Files.exe. With it you will be able to quickly delete, rename, or copy files and folders that have very long names. This is a tool that was purpose-built to handle such files/folders. If that happens, you can turn to Long Path Tool for help. You will find that the OS does not let you delete, rename or coy such files or folders.
